Increase engagement on your Facebook page with rewards

Launch, New Feature

Every page admin wants to get better engagement on their Facebook fan pages.   As more people like and comment on your wall posts, more people see your post.  Let’s look at a Facebook promotion idea that you can use with Woobox to increase engagement with your fans.

First off, the best way to increase engagement would be to tell your fans Like or Comment on this post and you’ll be entered to win.  Unfortunately, Facebook’s promotion policies don’t let you do that.  So what is a social media marketer left to do?

Let’s get creative.  Why not pick fans to reward every so often.  Facebook policies don’t restrict you from simply giving some gift to a fan.  The key is in how you promote it, or in the fact that you don’t promote it.   Here’s one example of how it would work:

  1. Pick a fan who commented on a wall post.
  2. Create a Woobox offer with only that Facebook user id on the guest list.
  3. Write a comment on the wall post that says something like: Great comment Bill, here’s 50% off for you.  http://woobox.com/9iovua
  4. Everyone can see the offer and your message, but only Bill can get it.

Once you setup an offer it’s easy to keep adding people to the guest list.  Each day, add one person who comments to the guest list and pretty soon your fans will learn that if they engage with your posts, they may get rewarded.  Perhaps just as good, they have to keep an eye on your posts to see if they’ve been rewarded.

Guest Lists are available on the Woobox Pro Plan.  See all Plans & Pricing

  1. What’s the easiest way to find the Facebook I’d? Does Woobox gather that for the technically challenged?

And does the app just require the id number?

    Thanks,

  4. […] Woobox also suggested a great alternative to this would be to arbitrarily offer a commentator a coupon as a reward which will in turn promote engagement! […]

  5. Thanks, nice idea for engagement. Hope soon to see your interface supporting multible languages 🙂
