Forms and Landing Pages

How to Use Woobox Forms & Landing Pages

  • by Kenny

Marketers seeking landing page solutions each have unique needs. One landing page’s goals may not match another’s goals. That’s why we’re here to discuss the differences between a Woobox Landing Page and a Form app, and when to use both.

When people ask about a Landing Page, they usually mean a microsite or a marketing site. These websites encourage visitors to complete an action, like entering a contest or giveaway.

Woobox hosts your contests and offers on their own microsites. So what’s the point of our Landing Page app? Glad you asked!

The Landing Page app is useful when hosting several promotions. Let’s assume you’ve reached the limit of allowed tabs on your Facebook page. What’s the best solution? Create the necessary links using the Landing Page app, then install that as a tab on your Facebook page. If you need further fine-control, Woobox allows the coding of your entire Landing Page in HTML.

You can also use the Woobox customization tools for adding text, videos, images, gifs, and links. Add links to any text by highlighting the text and clicking the icon that looks like a chain in the top toolbar.

Keep in mind: the Landing Page app does not have a form element. Using this app, you can display information and links but are unable to collect data.

With the Form app, you can gather data from fans and visitors! You can also choose to instantly pick winners from entrants into your Form. Since this app only collects data, you’ll notice there are no start and end dates on the Edit screen. If you no longer want to host the Form, remove the Facebook page tab, or delete the Form.

The Form has many uses. It’s useful for gathering emails, accurate data collection, and suggestions for new products. Service providers can use Forms for potential customers to request estimates or consultations. Developers can use forms to build email lists for upcoming alpha and beta tests. Retail business owners can gather specific interests related to current or future products.

We hope this helps clear up any confusion about which campaign-type you need. Just remember: the Landing Page app displays links and content, while a Form app collects data! If you have questions or need help deciding which app is right for your campaign, email us at support@woobox.com.
