Picking Winners via #Hashtag Entry for Instagram & Facebook

Social media hashtags are undoubtedly the best way to expand your reach and create viral trends that can bring fresh new traffic and business to your brand. Woobox users also have the advantage of importing posts with designated hashtags using the Photo/Video Contest! Ask fans to post pics of themselves enjoying your products, a video showcasing their talent, the cutest pet on the block, or any creative idea you may have and get your audience engaged!

Start by logging in and creating a Photo/Video Contest (this campaign type has optional form entry) or a Hashtag Contest (hashtags only). If this is your first time setting up this experience type, be sure to follow the setup guide.

Enter your required hashtag or hashtags (up to 3) on the Overview page.

After saving your settings and publishing your campaign, start promoting your contest and ask fans to post to Instagram or your Facebook page with the hashtag to enter. Check out our help article on hashtags for each platform’s rules and limitations.

As users post, submissions will be imported right into your Photo/Video Contest’s Submissions section for management. You can choose to publish the Gallery page or not, and whether submissions will be automatically or manually approved. See this article for more information on managing submissions.

If you’ve published your gallery and/or enabled voting, you can also share the campaign’s unique URL so fans can view and vote (or maybe be inspired to enter too)!

Contact info cannot be automatically collected from hashtag posts, so you can use the link to the original post in your Entries export to message or announce winners.
